Winchester based charity Wessex Children’s Hospice Trust, trading as Naomi House, have just opened their latest shop in Winton, Bournemouth, bringing their total to 18 outlets.

The property, situated in the town centre at 400 Wimborne Road, between Select and HSBC, and near to Waitrose, Lidl, Coffee1 and 99p Stores, comprises a total of 1185 sq ft and has been leased for 10 years at a rent of £19000 pa. It opened at the end of August and according to Naomi House Shops Manager Martin Efford is already trading well.

He said - “ I am delighted to be trading in Winton, it is such a busy High Street and the welcome we have received from the locals has been amazing. I worked in the shop on the first day and it was great to hear so many positive comments about the charity and about the look of the shop. We have very quickly built up a strong volunteer team and started getting donations of stock before we were even open! “

The charity has grown from 8 shops to 18 in Hampshire, Dorset and Wiltshire over the past 3 years with openings in towns such as Shaftesbury, Hythe, Portswood, Southampton, Basingstoke Salisbury and Waterlooville. Their acquiring agents Osmond Brookes have worked on all of these with them and currently have further outlets in Portsmouth, Ferndown, Newbury and New Milton in solicitors hands.

Osmond Brookes Director, Jeremy Braybrooke says –

“I enjoy working with the team at Naomi House, not only because we are acquiring in so many towns around the area but particularly because they are such a well know and highly respected charity. We have never found a landlord that hadn’t heard of them and some have proved to already be benefactors and are delighted to have them as their tenants.”
